Ghost Producer Workflow: Original Melodies and Vocals without Splice

A practical, client-ready workflow to create original MIDI melodies and AI vocals—no reused Splice packs or risky buyouts.

Why Ghost Producers Love Tricion Studio

I originally built Tricion Studio to help my own ghost production work: move faster, deliver original melodies, and avoid reused Splice/buyout vocals. This guide shows the exact, client‑safe workflow I use today—MIDI first, then AI vocals, then stems—so you can hand off clean assets that drop straight into a DAW.

    The No‑Splice, No‑Buyout Workflow (Overview)

    1. Generate original MIDI melodies with harmonic depth (chords/arps), iterate fast.
    2. Create lyrics and AI vocals tailored to the brief, then extend and refine audio.
    3. Separate stems for delivery (acapella, backing, full mix), ready for client drop‑in.
    4. Package assets (MIDI + stems + notes) and deliver with clear usage terms.

    Step 1 — Original MIDI Melodies (Text→MIDI)

Use the melody generator to create base motifs and full progressions. It’s optimized to produce playable, DAW‑friendly MIDI with proper chord voicings and rhythmic interest. Iterate to match the client brief (genre, key, tempo, energy).

    • Specify genre, key, tempo, mood, and arrangement intent (hook, verse, bridge).
    • Ask for chord texture (e.g., triads, sevenths, broken chords, arps).
    • Iterate: “more movement in the top line”, “tighter bass rhythm”, “wider chord spread”.

    Step 2 — Lyrics + AI Vocals

Next, generate lyrics from a short brief and create AI vocals that match the melody. You can extend audio around the melodic core and quickly try variants for hook testing.

    • Start with a concise lyric prompt (theme, tone, pov, structure).
    • Generate vocals and extend audio to fit the desired song section length.
    • Keep 2–3 variants to A/B with clients for hook selection.

    Step 3 — Deliver Client‑Ready Stems

Export clean, clearly named stems so clients can drop assets straight into their DAW. Keep it simple and consistent.

    • Include: Acapella, Instrumental (no vocals), and a short Preview Mix.
    • Name files with project, section, BPM, and key for easy handoff.
    • Add the core MIDI files so harmony and arrangement are easy to adapt.

    Keep It Original and Client‑Safe

Skip recycled packs and “royalty‑free” shortcuts. Deliver unique, project‑specific assets and set clear expectations in your agreement. Read more in No More Reused Vocals.

    • Provide original melodies and vocals generated for this brief.
    • Share only what the client needs: stems, MIDI, and a simple usage note.
    • Keep your creative process private; focus the delivery on results.

    Prompt Templates & Pro Tips

    • Melody: “Dark, driving techno hook in D minor at 126 BPM. 16 bars, energetic and catchy.”
    • Lyrics: “Confident chorus about late‑night city lights. 2 lines that loop well.”
    • Vocal variant: “Higher energy take with tighter phrasing for the chorus.”
    • Delivery: “Export acapella, instrumental, short preview mix, and core MIDI with BPM/key in names.”

    FAQ

Can I use this for multiple clients?

Best practice is one‑off originality: generate per project and keep prompts tied to each brief.

    How are credits billed?

Credits are deducted per action (melody generation, vocal generation/extension, separation). See our Vocal Pricing Guide or check your account for monthly usage and plan limits.
